Global Hands-on Universe Conference

Networked Telescopes and the IVO Science, Education and Collaboration In the New Millenium

The 2005 Global HOU conference will be held in Beijing, China, at National Astronomical Observatories ,Chinese Academy of Sciences. Regularly this conference gathers scientists and teachers from high and middle schools from six continents. The goal is to summarize the current status of the international educational project Global Hands-On Universe, and to promote interaction between research and teaching through practical "Hands-On" applications. This concerns the teaching of astronomy, the development of educational telescopes networks and their interface with research, the public outreach activities.
